About Me
I eventually realized that UX, at its core, is focused on helping users: it’s an empathetic field. As a designer, you can learn how to synthesize research, create visually appealing designs, or even code if you want to, but it all comes down to one thing in the end: putting the user and their needs first.
What draws me even more towards the world of UX is the collaborative nature of it, even if you’re the only designer; developers, stakeholders, and the users themselves all have a say in addition to other designers. UX combines research with creativity. There’s reasoning to every design choice made, and this data-backed creativity is such a unique aspect of the field. With a background in research myself, I feel right at home when it comes to conducting any necessary research.
My time in both university and retail have taught me how to make and communicate important decisions, manage projects, and quickly adapt to changes. All of these skills together allow me as a designer to help those with big ideas bring their visions to life.
